Workshop: Illustrate and write a Children's book for the Trade Market facilitated by Joan Rankin

Dates: Beginning Wednesday 27 May and continuing with three more workshops on dates to be agreed on by participants
 Time: 10:00 -12:30 Where: Houghton, Johannesburg Cost: For Non-members R500 per person Cost: For SCBWI members R250 per person Description: The course will comprise of four hands-on sessions: 1) Background and brainstorming session 2) Writing and illustrating stories 3) Discussion and feedback 4) Finalisation of books No skills are needed. The emphasis will be on having fun and experimenting. Participants will receive guidance on writing and illustrating for children. These workshops will culminate in each person producing a book to be exhibited at the Exhibition to be held in November at the University of Pretoria and Alliance Francaise. Joan Rankin’s experience comes from illustrating over forty children's books as well as writing some of them.
